The major problem for the Food Technologist is the number of job openings. See companies don't require Food Technology graduates in large workforce conditions. SO the recruitment is lower. Now the companies substitute the openings and opens it for the MSc Organic Chemistry/ Microbiology/Biochemistry graduates as well. So the competition increases but if you have good knowledge and you have learnt well, then you need not have to worry about this. Also the salary packages offered are usually not satisfying for the graduates in average.
So in general, there are no big issues all you need to do is to learn the skill well.
