what are some good future careers for research with major inclination towards biology?
Hi reader ,
there are various career options which you can pursue with biology being the core of the jobs
let me list down some of them
1) Biotechnology: This branch involves the exploitation of biological processes such as genetic manipulation of microbes for the production of hormones, antibiotics, etc. B.Sc. Biotechnology is a 3-year undergraduate course. The minimum educational qualification required to apply for the course is 10+2 in biological science stream completed from a recognized educational board. As a biotechnologist, you will have immense opportunities in academia as well as industry.
2) COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGIST Performs biological sequence searches related to the operation of a large scale, high throughput DNA mapping and DNA sequencing production facility.
Continuously improve quality and safety to meet the primary responsibility of Health Services to ensure the safety of patients.
Support the mandate of delivering a range of cancer services, which include prevention, screening and early detection, diagnosis and treatment, research, education, supportive care, rehabilitation, and palliative care.
3) HABITAT RESEARCH BIOLOGIST
- You will plan, manage and lead approved multidisciplinary research projects in fisheries and oceans science
- Provide authoritative scientific information and advice including standards and methodologies related to the management of fisheries and oceans resources.
4) MOLECULAR BIOLOGY TECHNICIAN
- llection, processing, storage and molecular genetic analysis of biological and oceanographic samples and field or laboratory data, to support aquatic ecosystems and marine scientific management and research programs.
- Scientific data, information and technological advice to various stakeholders to support the conservation of aquatic ecosystems and marine resources.
5 )RESEARCH ASSISTANT – CLINICAL
- Obtaining medical data on research subjects Participating in qualitative analysis of data collected from patients
- Assisting in the interpretation of results and the preparation of material for presentation, publication and/or grants and carrying out literature searches.
- Biological analysis (i.e. using databases such as genbank and analysis programs like GCG); learning new analysis tools and databases; assist in the development and programming of analysis tools; assist in the development and testing of mathematical models (by computer simulation, for example)
6) RESEARCH SCIENTIST
- Oversee public health programs, including statistical analysis, health care planning, surveillance systems, and public health improvement.
- Investigate diseases or parasites to determine cause and risk factors, progress, life cycle, or mode of transmission.
- Identify and analyze public health issues related to foodborne parasitic diseases and their impact on public policies or scientific studies or surveys.
- Teach principles of medicine and medical and laboratory procedures to physicians, residents, students, and technicians.
- Standardize drug dosages, methods of immunization, and procedures for manufacture of drugs and medicinal compounds.
- Prepare and analyze samples to study effects of drugs, gases, pesticides, or microorganisms on cell structure and tissue.
i hope this answer helps
thank you
