JEE Main Paper 2 consists of three sections
- Mathematics: 25 questions (20 questions are compulsory (MCQs), 10 numerical value questions out of which you need to answer 5 questions only)
- Aptitude Test: 50 questions
- Drawing test: 2 questions
- It is a computer based examination except for Drawing section in B.Arch (Pen & Paper based mode)
- The test will be available in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
- Duration of the test is three hours
- Type of questions asked
- Mathematics: MCQs and questions with numerical value as answers
- Aptitude- Multiple- choice questions
- Drawing- Drawing aptitude
- Total marks: 400
- Marking scheme
- In MCQs type four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

For Numerical value answers type questions four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and there will be deduction of one mark for each incorrect answer.

Drawing Test: Two questions are evaluated out of 100 marks.

General Aptitude
Part-1
Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials. Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build-environment. Visualising three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualising. different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).
Part-2
Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, colour texture, harmony and contrast, building forms and elements. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2D and 3D union, rotation subtraction, development of surfaces and volumes, elevations Generation of Plan and 3 D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.
Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (monuments, public space, festivals, market, street scenes, recreational spaces, etc.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life.
Drawing Test
