what are the advantages of fuel cells over primary and secondary batteries ?

Hello dear student,

So as you have asked for the advantages of fuel cell over primary and secondary batteries. So here are few advantages and I hope that will fulfill your need.

  • First point is fuel cells can run as long as reactant are supplied to it, it keeps on producing energy
  • It is an instant energy producing cell.
  • Example of fuel cell is hydrogen fuel cell

Advantage of Fuel Cells over Primary and Secondary batteries :

1) Primary batteries contain a limited amount of reactants and are discharged when reactants have been consumed

2) Secondary batteries can be recharged but it takes a long time .

Fuel cells run continuously as long as the reactants are supplied to it products are removed continuously.
