The English and Foreign Languages University updates a B.A. Handbook each year on their official website.

The B.A.(Hons.) English paper is usually divided into 7 sections, based on them the questions are asked. The sections usually consist of:

Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Skills, Writing Skills, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Literature.

There is a common entrance test for all B.A.(Hons.) in Foreign Languages programmes, exam duration for which is 3 hrs. The question paper consists of both objective and descriptive type in approximately 50:50.

The questions are usually asked in the following format:

General Knowledge-20%

Language Aptitude-25%

Written Comprehension-20%

Grammatical Transformation-15%

Guided Essay-10%

Picture Story-10%
