Hi aspirants

GATE earlier was also applicable for pharmacy graduates. However, pharmacy was removed from GATE around 2008–09(or 2009–10). It is now conducted in the name of GPAT(Graduate pharmacy aptitude test).

The Pharm. D admissions are done on the basis of merit list or entrance examination. The popular entrance examinations are BV CET, MET, GPAT, etc. The average fee for the PharmD is INR 6,00,000 lakhs - INR 20,00,000.

Scope of Pharm. D in India:

After completing this degree, the students can work in the following positions in India:

  • Clinical Pharmacist
  • Hospital Pharmacy Director
  • Hospital Staff Pharmacist
  • Medical Writer
  • Pharmaceutical Advisor
  • Medical Safety Physician
  • Supply Logistics leader
  • Drug Safety Associate

Hope this Helps

Good Luck!
