what are the best books for preparation of ipm and bba specially for quants if i dont have higher mathematics?
dear
I see that year after year IPM is increasing its standard and unpredictability. Also I see that the number of seats are quite a few for general category. 60 to be precise. You can also see that the Quant cutoff in 2018 is 15 in SA and 25 in MCQ. Which is 40 / 240. It stood mere 4 + 4 for ST / PWD categories.
I don’t think anyone without proper Mathematics background would score well. If you are not a BBA buff, I would strongly recommend you appear for JEE Mains. When I attended personal interview yesterday i.e. 18th June 2018 afternoon session at Hyderabad I see none of the candidates other than PCM. Almost all of them took their JEE mains and have some rank and admission either in some IIT / NIT /State Engineering college / VIT etc. .
Yesterday when I attended, there were people couple of people who qualified for JEE Advanced with 7000 / 9000 rank as well. The girl with 7K rank has 10/10 in her 10th and 98.1 % in +2 board. Her state engineering rank is 670. The boy with 9k rank was also equally good. Even they were of the opinion that the interviews are with 1:10 so its luck which can get them in.
So I advise you to prepare for JEE with an hour of prep for English post your boards and give your best shot there and give IPM so that you are sure enough to qualify.
As far as the Interview is concerned, it all depends on your prep, confidence and most importantly luck without any doubt.
good luck..
