There are ample of options after completing B.tech in mechanical engineering.
If you want higher degree you can do m.tech or mba, you can prepare for GATE and various PSUs, as they are best to work as a mechanical engineer or you can prepare for IES. You can work in automotive sector or power plants or steel plants or various industries etc.
Also if you are interested in designing and developing, you can work as a designer in the designing department of any company, however for this you need the knowledge of various designing and simulation softwares like CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS etc.

After completing your B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering you have a lot of scope in both Govt. sector and also private sector. You can work in Aerospace Industries, Steel plants, Thermal plants, Automobile industries, Robotics. If you want to study more then you can go for Master's by writing GATE and get a seat in best college. You should decide that in which area of mechanical engineering you want to concentrate and work. You will have to learn a lot in that particular area.
