What are the career options after civil engineering degree..othr than M.tech??
There are many options after B. Tech. Some of them are as follows :-
- If you want to work in business sector then you can go for MBA by giving entrance exam like CAT to get admission in top B-Schools.
- If you have a passion for teaching then you can apply in various schools or colleges or universities across India to become a teacher.
- If you want to work in banking sector then you can give exams conducted by the respective banks.
- If you want to work in government sector then you can give exams conducted by UPSC for IAS, IPS, etc. If you want to join Indian Army there are also exams conducted for it.
- If you don't want to continue studying then you can go for jobs in your respective field.

Once you complete Civil Engineering you have following options for future
1. Start A job in Construction, Real Estate, and Infrastructure & project industry as a site engineer or for any profile which suits your academic. Register yourself on all the major job portals and start applying for the jobs.
2. GATE Exam: You can give it a try. Go for M.Tech in Civil Engineering with a specialization of your choice. After your M. Tech or M.E. you can also start your career in academics as an Asst.Professor if you have interest in teaching.
3. Government Exams for class one post- IES: Indian Engineering Services. Also you can go for CSIR fellowship . You are now eligible to apply.
4. Job opportunity in Public sector Undertakings (PSUs):
If you are technically strong, you can apply for PSU’s. Now days they are mainly dependent on GATE score. They are publishing advertisement regularly in the national news papers. So,prepare hard for GATE. Practically all civil service positions in public works departments are held by civil engineers.Some Government departments like Department of Atomic energy etc conduct their own exams for recruitment. 6. Higher studies: MBA or Construction/Project management in India You can as well attempt CAT with your engineering degree. If you are fortunate enough, you may get into some IIM. If you wish to shift to management after Civil engineering, you can as well give a thought on Construction Management/Project Management programmes.
7. Go for M.S. in Civil Engineering in U.S. UK,South East Asia or Australia
Depending on your score in GRE, preferably 300+ you can choose one of the top ranking universities for M.S in civil engineering with a specialization of your choice in foreign universities.
8. Start a civil engineering entrepreneurial venture in India.

actually after the b tech in Civil engineering is that one option is. M tech but your are interested no problem ...and many more career options are there sir
