The best option for Engineering Graduate can be appearing for the prestigious Indian Engineering Examination, similarly recruitment also takes place in organizations like IOCL, GAIL, BSNL, BHEL, NTPC, HAL, DRDO, ISRO to name a few, even SSC, RRB also conduct exams particularly for the post of engineers which you can apply. Apart from this, you can find opportunities in Larsen and Toubro,Hindustan Construction Company, DLF, Oberoi Reality, Prestige Estates to name a few.
Other areas to explore are as follows:
- UPSC Civil Service, this remains the most preferred among aspirants from all backgrounds, you may also appear for State PSCs.

Salary scale is different in case of Private and Government sectors. But, the average starting salary is generally between 2-5 Lakh Rupees per year.

Btech in civil engineering is a four year full time undergraduate level programme offered to students. Career options after civil engineering are :
1. You can go for a job after completion of your Bachelor of technology or btech in civil. NTPC, ONGC, BHEL, GAIL, SAIL, and many other public organizations require civil engineers for construction purposes. Or, private jobs are prevalant as well.
2. You can go for higher studies after btech. These disciplines are as follows: environmental engineering, coastal engineering, forensic engineering, material science engineering, etc.
3. If interested, you can also go ahead and pursue mtech followed by a phD and get into teaching line.
