Cat cut offs off for SP Jain that too for non profile based you need to have atleast 95+ percentile and you can also get a call with a GMAT score above 700.

But in order to convert the call you need to have a decent academic records and a way more high percentile.

is work experience required for operations?

There is no specific requirement for any field. Work experience is preferred by colleges especially in operation filed becuase it gives you an idea about field but as I said it's not necessary, even freshers with good academic records and percentile get enrolled in college and get placed in a good company.
