What are the chances for admission in armed forces medical colleges?

There are total of 89 training courses being conducted at AFMC pune.
One can join AFMC in eiher UG or PG course
FOr UG Courses-
- MBBS
- Bsc. Nursing
M.B.B.S.: It is a 5-year course with 130 seats per course.
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.): It is a 2-year course with 20 seats per course.
For MBBS students need to clear the NEET cutoff and then AFMC conducts their own interveiw, group discussion and a medical examination as er the deffence standards. Their are 130 seats for this course out of which 105 are boys and 25 are girls.
For Bsc they have completely their own test follwed by the medical examination. Their are only 40 seats for this course.
For PG Courses-
For Selection in the pg courses, one needs to clear the cutoff and then through the screaning process and then the medical examination in the last.
Imporatant points to remember-
- A candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India
- The candidate must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted
- Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence

Here is the eligibility criteria for the Armed Forces Medical Colleges;
1. The candidates need to be physically and mentally fit, free from the any kind of disorders and disabilities.
2. The minimum height and weight required;
- For girls- minimum height of 144 cms and minimum weight of 36 kgs.
- For boys- minimum height of 157.5 cms and minimum weight of 47 kgs. The minimum height for the Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese, and Garhwali is 152.5 cms.
3. Age criteria, the candidates should complete their 17 years by 31 December, 2019 and age should not be more than 24 years at the time of admission.
4. Candidates should passed their 10th class with Mathematics as one of the subject.
