Hello,
With a score of 75 in the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) under the general women category , your chances of securing admission to a good college depend on the cutoff trends of the previous years.
Typically, National Law Universities (NLUs) like NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, and WBNUJS Kolkata have very high cutoffs, often exceeding 95-100 for general category students. However, mid-tier NLUs such as HNLU Raipur, RGNUL Patiala, or DSNLU Visakhapatnam may have cutoffs closer to your score, especially under category-specific relaxation. For women candidates, the presence of reserved seats in some NLUs might slightly improve your chances.
It's essential to check individual college preferences and closing ranks. Based on recent trends, your score may secure a place in newer NLUs or private law colleges with good reputations. Participating in all counseling rounds is advised to increase your chances of admission.
Hope it helps !
Hello Renu,
With a score of 75 in CLAT and being in the women category of the general category, your chances of getting into a good law college will depend on various factors such as the college's cut-off, seat availability, and the overall competition that year.
-
Top NLUs (National Law Universities) : Generally, top NLUs like NLSIU, NALSAR, or NLIU have high cut-offs that may range from 100-120 marks or higher for general category students. A score of 75 may be below the cut-off for these institutes, you might have a chance in the lower-ranked NLUs.
-
Other Law Colleges : You could also get admission in other reputed law schools, including some state universities, private law schools, or lower-ranked NLUs. The cut-off in these institutions can vary, but with 75 marks, you stand a chance in many colleges across India, especially in the women’s category, which often has a relaxed cut-off .
In sule your chances of securing admission in top-tier law schools may be low, there are other reputable colleges where you could get a seat with 75 marks. Consider applying to a range of colleges to improve your chances.
