see it does not matter what is your education background, the basic eligibility criteria for appearing in cat exam is you need to have 50% marks in graduation from a recognized university, now iims shortlisted candidates based on their academic scores and cat cutoff, so if you have more than 85 percentage of marks in academics and your cat scores are above 95 percentile you have decent chances in top iims.
