Firstly,Congratulations for your score.Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering(GATE) exam is conducted yearly once to provide admissions into post graduate courses in various prestigious institutes like IITs,NITs,IIITs etc.. and also to be taken into various jobs in Public Sector Undertakings(PSUs).One thing you should keep in mind is that we cannot predict the rank based on your score because the gate score depends on the following factors:
Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) is a Government owned corporation or a company in which Central or State Government have more than 51% share. Basically these Government companies run like private companies and share profits to Government. A career with PSU requires, a strong and in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of core engineering Principals. GATE is one such exam, where ones technical and general aptitude is tested.
Based on parameters like listing on Indian Stock Exchange, global presence, annual revenue and income generated, PSUs in India have been classified under the following three heads:
Maharatna PSU’s
Navaratna PSU’s
Mini-ratna PSU’s
With this score, according to the previous year pattern, your rank might be between 200-500. Assuming you are from general category, here is a list of PSUs from which you can expect a call from:

Final selection will only depend upon performance in the Personal Interview. The Personal Interview will consist of 100 Marks. The qualifying marks are as follows :
General Category – 70 Marks SC/ST/OBC/PWD – 60 Marks
Final selection merit list of applicants will be prepared based on the number of vacancies and the marks scored in Personal Interview.
Applicants will be shortlisted for Interview process on the basis of a valid GATE 2018 / 2019 score . Or even on the basis of Online exam conducted by BARC.
Based on the GATE-2019 Marks and needs, applicants shall be shortlisted for Interview in order of merit in the ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies in particular discipline and Category.
For shortlisting as per 1:3 ratio, initially, all UR applicants of each discipline of Engineering along with such reserved category (i.e. OBC, SC, ST) applicants of that discipline, who do not avail any relaxation, will be grouped together and then arranged in descending order of merit of GATE-2018 marks (marks out of 100) and applicants shall be called for interview in the ratio of 1:3 in UR category. The final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of 75% weight-age to Written Test (GATE-2018) Score & 25% weight-age to Interview Stage.
Employment in all the Engineering branches is on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE Score.Short-listing of candidates for further selection process (comprising Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT) and Personal Interviews (PI)) is based on the GATE-2019 score. GATE score of 2018 or any other previous examination is not valid. Candidates will require obtaining minimum 40% marks in GD/GT and Personal Interview for being considered in the merit list.
Depending on the GATE-2018 marks and needs, applicants shall be shortlisted for appearing in Online Aptitude Test, which is just qualifying in nature. Based mostly on performance in the Aptitude test, applicants shall be further shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.The ultimate merit list shall be prepared based on 85% weight-age of GATE-2019 marks , 5% weight-age of GD marks and 10% weight-age of Interview marks .
The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2019, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.Qualified applicants shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2019, in the corresponding paper.
