For B.Tech Biotechnology courses most of the colleges takes admission through the same entrance exam as for other fields of engineering. Thus to be eligible for those entrances you need to have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2.

Although there are some colleges in India which don't care about such norms and most of them are autonomous colleges or deemed to be univeristy. The colleges are:

• Vellore institute of technology vellore
• SRM chennai
• BITS pilani
• Manipal institute of technology

Now if you go for Bsc Biotechnology then you will not find any problem to get an admission in these colleges.
