The counselling for the JEE main examination will be done by JOSSA and students will be allocated colleges based upon their performance. The registrations for JEE Main counselling 2021 will start in online mode after the declaration of results. The dates for it are yet to be announced and will be announced soon. Here are the steps to be followed:

Step 1- JEE Main Counselling Registration: Firstly, candidates will have to get themselves registered on the official website of JoSAA 2021. To log in to the JoSAA candidate portal, students have to use their JEE Main application form 2021 number and password. Upon successful login, the candidates details will automatically be fetched from the JEE Main 2021 database. Students must verify all the details before completing the registration.

Step 2- Choice filling: After registration, candidates will have to fill in their choice of institute and courses. Students are advised to select as many choices as they can as this will increase the chances of admission. Note that JoSAA 2021 choice filling has to be done within specified dates.

Step 3- Mock seat allotment and locking of choices: The authorities will also conduct two mock seat allocations to help candidates know their chances of admission into the institutes. The mock seat allotment process will help the candidates understand which seats can be allotted to them on the basis of their preference list. Candidates will also be able to change their preferences after the mock allotment.

Step 4- Final seat allotment: JoSAA will conduct a total of seven rounds of seat allotment. The seat allotment process of JoSAA will be done on the basis of merit, category, selected preferences and availability of seats. All the seat allotted candidates will be able to download the provisional seat allotment letter and an e-challan to remit seat acceptance fee in online mode.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the JEE Main 2021 counselling. Candidates who have qualified in JEE Main result 2021 will have to apply for counselling in order to get admission in NITs , IIITs or GFTIs .

The registrations for JEE Main counselling 2021 will start in online mode soon.

JEE Main counselling through JoSAA will include many steps such as registration, choice filling, locking of choices, seat allotment, and payment of seat acceptance fee.

JEE Main 2021 counselling will have a total of 7 rounds. JoSAA will also conduct two rounds of mock seat allotment of JEE Main before the actual seven rounds of JEE Main counselling 2021 to help students understand the process.

Documents Required for Verification after JEE Main Seat Allotment 2021

• JEE Main seat allotment letter issued by JoSAA.

• Three passport size photographs (have to be the same as uploaded during registration).

• A government-issued photo identity card.

• Proof of fee payment for JEE Main seat acceptance.

• Date of birth proof.

• JEE Main Admit Card 2021 .

• Class 12 Mark sheet.

• JEE Main 2021 Score Card .

• Category certificate (if applicable).
