Hello jagadesh .
I think you need to get a rank at least around 3000–4000 for General Category. Last year my rank was 6669with a score of 236 and I was not placed anywhere. So to get a higher rank your score should be more than 250. This year I got 256 and my rank is 1205.
As soon as you get the paper,
- Solve the Aptitude part. It is the easiest and you can expect to get all correct.
- Then go for the Drawing section. This is the field where examiners can cut maximum of your marks so make it as presentable as possible. (I scored 60 out of 70 this year)
- At last go for the Math sectionand attempt only those for which you’re sure of getting the answer correct or else leave, for there is negative marking..
- Best of luck.
