what are the Criterias for start preparing CDS exam from commerce background ?

When it comes to the eligibility criteria of CDS for various posts in Indian Defence Services is as follows-
Indian Military Academy:
- passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university
- age limit to be between 19 to 24 years along with unmarried status
Air Force Academy:
- passed BTech/BE or bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level
- age limit to be between 19 to 24 years along with unmarried status.
Indian Naval Academy:
- passed bachelor's degree in engineering , ie..BTech/BE from any recognized university
- age limit to be between 19 to 24 years along with unmarried status.
Officer's Training Academy(Men):
- passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university,
- age limit to be between 19 to 25 years along with unmarried status.
Officer's Training Academy(Women):
- passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university,
- age limit to be between 19 to 25 years along with unmarried/widow/divorcee status.

For females candidates they are only eligible for OTA for which the written tests only consists of General Knowledge and English with the following syllabus-
General Knowledge consists of
- Indian & world economics, Physics, Current Affairs - national & international, Indian Polity,Chemistry,Sociology,Indian History, Defence-related Award,Geography,Environment,Sport,Biology, Cultural, Books, etc.
- English consists of Spotting Errors,Synonyms,Antonyms, Selecting Words,Ordering of Sentence, Sentence Arrangement, Comprehension, Ordering of words in a sentence, Fill in the blanks, Idioms & Phrases, etc.
You can refer the following books to cover the aforementioned sections-
English: Wren and Martin Grammar book/Norman Lewis's Word Power Made Easy/SP Bakshi's General Objective English
General Knowledge: Read The Hindu/The Indian Express on a daily basis for covering the dynamic portion, Lucent's GK to cover static portion,you can refer magazines like Pratiyogita Darpan/CRS/Yojana etc.
