Hello Aspirant

.

Mechanical is one of the base branches of engineering. It is very hard core branch.Production engineering is a more lighter version of the mechanical engineering with more onus on the softer aspects.

  • The curriculum of the course constitutes all basicmechanical engineering subjectslikeengineering mechanics, strength of materials, machine design, thermodynamics, heat transfer etc.
  • And specialized courses like production engineering, tool design, operations management, project management and Industrial engineering.
For Industrial and production engineering the course subjects like

Automatic Control Systems

  • Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering

  • Fluid Mechanics

  • Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer

  • Measurement and Metrology

  • Quality Engineering

  • Theory of Machines

  • Thermal Engineering
.

If you have any questions further let me know

    • Thank you!!!

Hello aspirant,

Mechanical Engg deals with the kind of energies produced from engines, their conversion and other all stuff about the motion parts and mechanism

Production Engg deals with the a core subject of the above that is the manufacturing process. They contain MOS,MMS,WELDING,BRAZING and Various other process in very detailed process. These also deals with types of materials used and the cost expenditure of them.

If you have any questions please let me know

Thank you!!!!

Mechanical is one of the base branches of engineering... It is very hard core branch.. Production engineering is a more lighter version of the mechanical engineering with more onus on the softer aspects.

Although production engineering and mechanical engineering come under engineering, both are entirely different.

Production engineering is the study of manufacturing technology with management science whereas mechanical engineering is concerned with mechanical systems, thermodynamics, kinematics and energy and related fields.

Production engineers may be aware of the management challenges interrelated to production. These professionals strive to make production possible through the smoothest, most-judicious and most-economical techniques. However, mechanical engineers work profile includes providing resourceful solutions to the development of processes and products. It ranges from miniature components to extremely large plant, machines or vehicles.
