What are the different minimum durations of service afforded by SSC for the Indian Army/Navy/Airforce? Is it possible to choose the duration such as 5 or 6 years?

The meaning of duration of services in Indian army airforce and navy as commissioned and non commissioned officer is 10 years compulsory service and four years for extension. There is no rules for service of five to six years in any of the defence category services. This rules of Defence is applied of different stream of Army, Airforce and Navy.
