Mechanical Engineering has a lot of scope and career prospects after graduation.

1. If you are interested in Mechanical applications and enjoyed the course of study, you can target Core Manufacturing and Operations Companies like Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, GE, Vedanta and so on, during campus placement of your Insititute.

2. If like most of your peers in today's date, you are interested in Analytics, Data Science and Machine Learning and Software Applications or perhaps Finance and Business Development. You can build your career in Non Core Sector with companies like Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, PayTM, EY India, Cognizant, Infosys,Nomura and so on.

3. If you are interested in pursuing a Masters Degree from Higher Technical Institutes like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore in specializations like Thermal or Manufacturing Technology, or Automation and Robotics, you should apply for GATE Exam. Perhaps if you are interested in pursuing a Masters or Doctoral Degree from notable Universities abroad, you should give GRE and TOEFL/IELTS Exams and prepare your applications within deadlines.

4. Answering GATE Exam also enables you to apply for PSUs like BPCL, SAIL, BHEL, NTPC, IOCL as well as Research Institutions like BARC, DRDO and so on. Most of the PSU have vacancies for Mechanical Graduates at attractive packages.
