what are the drawbacks of dropper for jee

Hello there,
To be honest, there is no such drawbacks of a dropper in JEE. You spend a year more than the other students to get admission in a college, that's the only point. Now this can't be a drawback if you get some good colleges like IITs, NITs and other government colleges by spending a year more. You also have some advantages since there's a tie breaker that the elder candidate is given more preference. But for all these you need to study well and get the top colleges of the country. If you still get the lower colleges after dropping an year then it's not the proper use of one entire year.
