Admission at AFMC is strictly based on the merit basis of performance of candidates in NEET, ToELR, Psychological Assessment Test and Interview.
Firstly, candidates are shortlisted for ToELR on the basis of NEET scores. The candidates are then called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning. ToELR is an online test consisting of 40 MCQs to be attempted in 30 minutes. Each question is of 2 marks and there’s a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect response. The marks obtained in ToELR is added to NEET score and then divided by 4 to get the written examination score out of 200.
Next comes the second stage of the admission process comprises of psychometric test and interview. This test is of 50 marks. The final AFMC MBBS merit list is based on the total score obtained in both the stages.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must be an Indian National and should have completed 17 years of age at the precribed date.
English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are compulsory with minimum aggregate of 60% in 10+2 or any equivalent examination (mimimum aggreagate of 50% each in PCMB. with Mathematics in Class 10 exams)

Admissions for AFMC examination is provided through NEET, only.Applicants who apply to AFMC should check the eligibility criteria for the same.
A candidate is eligible only when:
- Nationality:Should be a citizen of India.Foreign students can seek admission only after acquiring citizenship or if Ministry of Home Affairs provides eligibility.
- Marital status: Must be unmarried
- Medical fitness: Should be medically fit as per the standards provided by Government of India,Ministry of Defence
- Academic qualification: Physis, chemistry,biology scored of board examination should not be less than 60 percent and of englisE not less than 50 percentage.
- Candidate should be at least 17 years of age as of 31st december 2019 and not more than 24 years old on the same date.

Admission in AFMC, Pune is done on the baisis of your NEET scores only. You need to fill an application form for admission in AFMC Pune to be Eligible for counselling. The candidates who qualify their set cut off from the applicants be called for a comprehensive test of English language and logical reasoning, and personal interview along with medical test. The cut off last year was 551 marks for both boys and girls in 2018. In 2017 the cut off was 570 marks for boys and 600 for girls.
