M.Lib.I.Sc. (Master of Library & Information Science) is a postgraduate course that incorporates the advanced study of principles and practices of library & information science along with the current technologies applied to these processes. The eligibility criteria for this course is that a candidate needs to be graduated with any stream from any recognized university. Applicants with a graduation degree in B.Lib.I.Sc. (Bachelor of Library & Information Science) and B.Lib.Sc. (Bachelor of Library Science) is given more preference. Candidates are required to have a minimum aggregate of 50% - 60% in a Bachelor’s degree.
The duration of this course is 1-2 years and admission is done based on the Entrance Test/ Merit list/ Direct Admission.
Some of the entrance exams are:
- Mangalore University M.Lib.Sc Entrance exam
- Osmania University M.Lib.Sc Entrance exam
- Panjab University M.Lib.Sc Entrance exam
- Pondicherry University M.Lib.Sc Entrance exam

I hope you are doing well. Library science is an interdisciplinary course which mainly deals with the study of practices and principles of library science. The course is available in many of the universities of India.
The minimum eligibility criteria to do this course is you must have passed your graduation with 55 to 60% in any stream doesn't matter.
Sometimes in some of the universities their candidates with background in library science are preferred and they must have skills of communication problem solving creativity and digital literacy.

the basic eligibility criteria for masters in library science in India is to be a graduate with around 60% in your bachelors degree/course. Therefore Ba English is okay as a graduation course, upon completing post graduation you may get an opportunity to work as deputy librarian, academic librarian, or teacher librarian .
