There are two ways of joining Indian Navy after 12th

1. NDA & NA Examination : You can join NA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC ). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India.

Eligibility Criteria

Age – 16 ½ to 19 years(at the time of commencement of course)

Nationality – Indian

Gender – Men only

Educational Qualifications – 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Appearing final year students can also eligible to apply.

Advertisement Schedule –  May and December. (Advertisement is released by UPSC. Visit www.upsc.gov.in )

The second way to join In Indian navy is

2. 10+2 B.tech Cadet Entry:

Age: 17 to 19½ years .

Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

How to apply : One can directly apply online from nausena – bharti .nic.in , selection for SSB Interview based on the cut off percentage decided by Indian Navy.

Hey

to join indian navy or army, you have to write NDA exam after class 12 or cds exam after graduation.

also if you have 80% above score in class 12, you can directly appear for SSB interview through 12th navel entry. and TES army entry.

after grad, if you have 80% above you can directly appear for SSB through TGC entry for army.

for merchant navy, it is civil it has no connection with defense. so you have to study naval architecture or marine engg for it
