HELLO TANAY SHUKLA
THANKS FOR INQUIRING
Manipal Institute of Technology is really great. The faculty is great(few exceptions are always there), the curriculum is rock-solid, and best of all, the technical, non-technical clubs and student projects give you a very hands-on approach to engineering. Its not just “ratta maarna”, you learn how to work in a team, research about something, plan your thoughts out, make a prototype, finishing a product, everything that one needs to know so that he/she is ready for a job or startup or whatever you want.
EDUCATION:-
This is the best college in terms of higher education.I am saying it as the best because here professors treat you as their own children and really want your progress. They will try to motivate you and at the same time they will give you the best, what they can. If you go to IIT’s, then you will notice that most of the professors don’t bother about your result. If you are doing good its ok and if you are not doing well then also its ok. But thats not the case here.
LIFESTYLE:-
The hostels in Manipal campus are common for students of Engineering and Architecture. Hostels are excellent with best of facilities.
· -24x7 internet connection(Right now it is provided by ION but soon it is going to be given by JIO)
· -24x7 hot water supply
· -Water coolers on each floor
· -Common rooms with T.V s(time permit to watch TV is till 11:30 pm and when any football or criket match is there then you can watch till 1 or 2 also. All depends on caretaker)
· -Facility to play indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, etc
· -Cleaning of room on alternate days.
· -Immediate first aid in case of emergencies and ambulance (if required) will turn up within 5 mins of call.(24 X 7 Ambulance facility)
· -Night Canteens which are open uptill 1 am
· -Washing machine service (pay per use)(Only available in girls hostel)
· -External laundry agencies come to the hostels daily (per use/membership) and return within 1–2 days
Fee
Yes, MIT is the most expensive engineering college in India. One might say that you get what you pay for, but 2 Lakh/annum tuition fees is steep. And it increases each year. I think it's somewhere around 2 Lakh, 60 thousand this year. Besides, the money which they make out of small things is irritating.
Facilities
MIT has great facilities. I have seen many top government colleges, and their facilities are nothing compared to our facilities (not comparing with IITs). We have an excellent library, air conditioned class rooms, state of the art sports facilities and the food court, whose food will never make you sick.
Student teams
MIT has many 'student teams' which are involved in various technical activities. Parikshit is a student nano-satellite team, students from Formula Manipal build their own Formula car and participate with the wordl's best colleges each year. SolarMobil has just completed it's solar powered car, I think. Overall, these teams are a great platform to learn actual engineering, which cannot be taught in classrooms. We have several more teams.
HOPE IT HELPS
ALL THE BEST
