For SBI PO: You can be branch manager after promotion.Then after some promotion you can get the gazetted posts in SBI- (Under govt.)
For IBPS PO: Work is similar in private and public sector but there is a slight difference in salaries and selection process.
Overall, you can choose the ones which gives you good growth options rather than sticking to payscale. Good Luck!
