UGC NET exams have 2 papers i.e. Paper 1 comprises of general aptitude questions and Paper 2 comprises of 100 objective type questions of your selected subject.

Basically general aptitude exam contains questions of :

Teaching aptitude, research aptitude, data interpretation, comprehensions, logical reasoning, information and communication technology. Since each topic contains questions of almost equal marks,  so you should focus on every topic.

Hello Kadamb ,

Paper 1 has 10 topics. Each topic generally has 5 questions carrying 2 marks each.
As such we can't say that this topic or portion is important in paper one because all the units carry equal weight and questions comes from all the parts.
But still, if I dig in t here is one reading comprehension carrying 10marks and one Data Interpretation question carrying 10 marks. Which comes every time.
Then there is 2-3 question from general awareness, apart from this you get around 5 questions from simple math, logical and verbal reasoning. And the rest questions are from the different part of the syllabus such as teaching aptitude, research aptitude, Communication, ICT etc.

Overall the questions are easy as they ask very basic and conceptual questions. So do not worry much, you just need to brush up your concepts and knowledge to get through the exam.

Hope this helps!
Good Luck.
