Hello,

Have you seen an electric circuit consisting of different resistors, inductors, batteries, wires, switch.... etc.

The branch that deals with the making and development of these electric circuits is electrical.

And the branch which uses these circuits in different applications is electronics and communication.

Both the branches are good enough for a student to complete his/her engineering.

But you may find these branches somewhat uninteresting during your bachelor's i.e of 4 years.

You should be clear in your basic electrical engineering concepts that are covered in your jee mains-advance preparation.

Hope it helps!

Regards!

Dear aspirant,

According to your query,

You would like to know that both engineering fields are a bright option in all terms.  Let us take them one by one.  Starting from  study pattern and syllabus some subjects are common but then in 2nd year of your engineering your subjects will get change. Electrical eng. Have Circuitry based studies where circuits don't have decision making power but when an electronics eng.  Make it then that circuit would contain some self decision making criteria and functios.  So that is what makes both of them different.

Hope you find it useful.

Thank you.

Hello,

Here are some of the interesting facts on electronics engineering#Fact 1Electronics and Communication is often confused with Electrical Engineering. While both engineering branches deal with core physics, electronic engineers work in designing and developing commercial products; mostly consumer electronics like kitchen appliances, computers, TVs and portable gadgets.#Fact 2In the Indian education system, there are two ways how high school pass outs can get an Electronics and Communication degree. Students can either join a 3-year course in a polytechnic (diploma) Institute and get a lateral entry to B. Tech in 2nd year or take direct admission in engineering institutes that offer a full-time 4 years course. Either way, Electronics Engineering school graduates are eligible for pursuing their career in private or government companies.#Fact 3In order to get admissions in engineering institutes, high school pass outs in India have to pass competitive entrance examinations. For 3 years diploma full-time course, students have to appear for the JEXPO (Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic). Similarly, high school pass outs have to pass the AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination). Diploma pass outs are required to appear for WBJEE JELET (Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry).#Fact 4Given the population of India and the number of high school pass outs each year, there is a huge competition among students to get admissions in engineering institutes like IST (Institute of Science and Technology). #Fact 5Over the 3 years period of Electronics and Communication course, the engineering institute faculty trains students with broad systems including Micro Controller, Medical Electronics & Micro Processor, Medical Electronics, Fiber Optics Photonics, Digital Signal Processing(DSP engineering), Networking/Communication Engineering, SoC and microelectronics. #Fact 6Pursuing studies in engineering colleges is fun; freshmen are welcomed by the sophomores and seniors. Throughout the full time course, electronic engineering school students get to expand their practical knowledge in workshops and seminar sessions provided by the reputed engineering institutes like Institute of Science and Technology.

Thanku.
