Food technology deals with the science of food, biochemistry, processing of food, manufacturing and these kind of stuff. There a lot of scope in food technology.

• After B.Sc. you always have the option of pursuing higher studies and go for a Ph.D either in India or abroad.
• You can become a food scientist or a food technologist. Their tasks overlap a bit but essentially both of them are related to the science behind food and food industry.
• You can join any of the firms - dairy, poultry, bakery and confectionery, food processing, food manufacturing, food packaging and lot more.
• You can opt for sales and brand management.
• You can also be a professional dietician or nutritionist.
• There are several government agencies like fssai or fci which recruit food tech. freshers.

Food is a big industry anywhere in the world. People never stop eating. There are lot of opportunities in this sector if moved in a right direction. A fresher will get INR Rs 2 to 3 lakhs per annum but this will increase significantly as the experience increases.
