Employment in fields of psychology has been on the lower side for a long time. However, India is slowly gearing up to the idea of psychological help for psychological disorders and the need for trained counsellors is slowly gaining momentum. Schools and other educational institutes are also warming up to the idea of counsellors. This progress, though slow, is bound to generate employment opportunities in the fields of Psychology in the years to come. The current annual salary trend for various job profiles in psychology related fields are roughly shown as.

1. FOR CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST – 80,000 - 26,00,000 INR

2. FOR CONSULTANT PSYCHOLOGIST – 1,25,000 – 33,00,000 INR

3. FOR CLINICAL RESEARCHERS – 60,000 – 12,00,000 INR

4. FOR PSYCHOLOGISTS – 2,20,000 – 11,75,000 INR

I believe Psychologists are not made, by birth they are Psychologists. You are already a Psychologist because your are interested in it. Just you need to have Degree to put the label under your name.

All the best “Future Psychologist” ;)
