Dear,
Food technology is a branch of food science which majorly deals with the manufacturing, processing, preserving and packaging of food and its articles. It has great opportunities. So it’s a good decision to pursue this course. Ample amounts of job opportunities are available in front of Graduates in Government as well as Private sectors. Competition for job posts is less, since there are relatively lesser number of Colleges offering this course and thus lesser number of students pursuing it. Thus, landing a good job is relatively easy.Talking about Government sector, the Department of Food and Public Distribution is a well known recruiter. The Private sector chips in with much more opportunities. Private Food Production firms, Processing plants, Storage and Preservation firms etc are known to recruit Graduates. You can work as a Food Processor, Process Development Specialist, Manufacturing Specialist, Food Production Manager). In Sales, Marketing & Brand Management (various roles like other industries). Others include Dietician, Nutritionist, Animal Nutritionist, Diet & Fitness Counselor)
Hope this helps!
