what are the maximum working hours of a general surgeon who has completed Ms including on call duties
Hello Harshita
A surgeon's shift may be anywhere from 12 to 28 hours long . In emergency situations or public health crises, their shifts may be longer. To make up for their long shifts, surgeons often work less than six days a week, with an average weekly schedule of four days. different team of surgeons scrubs into the operating room for each stage, most of which take only a few hours to complete. ... The lead surgeons try to stay involved for the duration. They'll stay in the operating room for as long as they can, with a couple of breaks for snacks and rest.
Thanks
Hello there
It's not very accurate as some of the surgeons work privately and some under any institution or in government.
But if I tell you generally then after the training completion of a surgeon, the average General Surgeon usually works around 50 to 60 hours per week excluding the time available for call. It totally depends on the practice situation you have choosen and you can be on call as much as all the time to once in a week.
I hope it helps you!
Thank you!
