UPSEE covers colleges of UP state only and top college under this exam is IET Lucknow presently. Earlier HBTI Kanpur was to be at top but now its become independent college and do counselling on the basis of JEE Mains rank.

HBTI is now not under UPSEE now it has now been converted into HBTU an independent, centrally-funded and autonomous university. HBTI was affiliated to UPTU till august 2016. From September 1,2016 HBTI is upgraded to status of government.

It depends on what branch you want to get admission in.

• For CS/MECH the cut off this year was 160+.
• For Electronics the cut off was around 150+.
• For Chemical engineering/civil engineering 140 was sufficient.
• And for rest of Chemical Technology branches, even a score of 120 was sufficient until 4th round. paint being the most preferred branch.
