The future of the students of a college lie in a professor's hands. So, the selection of professors by colleges is a unique process. Each college has their own eligibility criterias. Some criterias common to all are c onsistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines. Job experience also helps a lot for top colleges.
