Well for neet examination none of the chapters can be considered of lesser importance in any subject. The reason is because every single chapters concludes 1 or 2 questions from it.
Regarding bio every single chapter holds equal importance. In any case dont leave aside any chapters.
NCERT is the gold standard book for NEET. 80-85 % questions usually comes from NCERT. Read books thoroughly and make your concept clear. Along with that practice MCQ from standard text books.
You must study and solve 10 previous years’ papers of AIPMT. This will help you get acquainted with the pattern of questions asked and the difficulty level of questions asked in NEET exam.
Give online mock tests to assess your preparation. It will also help you to manage your time during examination.Take care of your health while preparing.

However you should put special attention towards the figures,examples,numerical values, scientist's name, flow charts, etc etc.
Do solve previous years question paper of neet ug . This will build up your confidence level.
Follow this, you will easily score 340+ marks in neet ug exam of biology section.

you have to keep one thing in mind, that, equal emphasis is given on +1 and +2 syllabus while framing the questions!
So, you should not give partial preference to any particular topic, as in that case, some topic may be left over.
Still, if you wish to give special preference, then revise animal kingdom, plant morphology, human physiology, ecosystem & environment, molecular basis of inheritance.
But, never leave any topic!

As far as important topics are concerned there are no such things like that, but they roughly give you the weightage of +1 n +2 based on which you can prepare, some websites give their prediction which is not standard and you can roughly analyse based on that.
