Reactions that are named after their discoverer or any other famous scientist are called name reactions. These are very easy to encounter in organic chemistry and are sometimes found in inorganic chemistry as well. Some examples would be; aldol condensation reaction, cannizaro reaction, gatterman Koch reaction, etard reaction, kolbe's synthesis etc.
