Hi aspirant,

To get admission in NIT, you have to register for JoSAA counseling which handles all counseling related activities for NITs, IITs, IIITs and other GFTIs. This registration is online and will start in the second week of June. You have to fill your choices then. Before seat allocation there will be two rounds of mock allocation followed by seven rounds of seat allocation. Once the candidate is alloted a seat he/she has to download the provisional admission letter and pay seat acceptance fee. If you are not satisfied with the seat, you can choose any of the three options:

  • Floating
  • Freezing
  • Sliding
At the end of the seat allocation, students have to visit their alloted colleges and pay the remaining academic fees to confirm admission.
