What are the non-major subjects for bsc maths Hons in DU??
So I am providing every detail about the subjects DU asked you to complete your education with -
Under this CBCS:
Every semester students will be given 2–3 fixed core subjects which will be specific in mathematics
One Generic Elective subject which will depend upon college and subjects like physics, chemistry, computer science, economics etc will be given to students and this will last for first 2 years
And 4th subject will also be depending upon college and it's called Additional subject which includes English , hindi , latex , environment science and such kind of subjects……
This will be for first 2 years and in 3rd year you will be given all Core subjects of mathematics which includes:
LPP Numerical Method , Discrete Mathematics, Probability , Ring theory , Group theory , Complex analysis, Metric space
In 1st sem you will be getting few subjects which will be based on 12th mathematics like :-
Calculus , algebra etc 1GE & 1 additional subject
From second semester onwards you will be given new maths subjects like real analysis and Differential equations (a topic which will become a subject )
In 3rd sem you will have 5 subjects like theory of real functions , group theory , multivariate calculus , latex , GE
In 4th sem subjects like partial differential equations , Riemann Integration will be given
And in 5th & 6th no GE and additional subject will be there but every subjects will be the core subjects which includes - LPP , Numerical Method , Discrete Mathematics, Probability , Ring theory , Group theory , Complex analysis, Metric space
