What are the placement statistics for m.tech in IIT Hyderabad?

The placement statistics depend upon the course you are pursuing and your performance in that particular course. The probability of getting placed after M.Tech at IIT Hyderabad, according to the placement cell is 0.2. And even if you get placed through a branch like CS, your average salary will lie between 4Lacs-6 Lacs per annum. Most of the time, you will either be told to complete a Ph.D. and then apply for the job. But, this data is just according to the students of placement cell, the official stats may vary.

IIT Hyderabad is one of the fastest growing IIT. Being in one of the biggest industrial cities of India is a huge advantage. There's a great deal of flexibility in designing of curriculum. New concepts like Fractal Academics(short term courses), fractional credit courses(Photojournalism, FilmMaking & courses offered by industry experts) and interdisciplinary branches such as Engineering Science are on offer, Minor in entrepreneurship.

The top paying companies visiting in the campus are Rakuten, Yahoo Japan and SMS Data tech. The highest salary generally is Rs.38 LPA and the average salary is Rs.11.44 LPA. There are many international offers too.
