All India Common Entrance Examination (AICEE) is conducted by the Veterinary Council of India, for admission to first year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) & Animal Husbandry (AH) degree course. The Veterinary Council of India is a statutory body of the Government of India framed under an Act of Parliament i.e. Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984). This is an Act to regulate Veterinary practice and Veterinary education in India. The Act stands extended to all the States of India except Tamil Nadu and J & K as on date. Only those who possess recognized veterinary qualification and registered can practice in the country.
About the exam
All India Common Entrance Examination (AICEE) is conducted for the admission in programmes like B.H.M.S / B.Sc (Nursing) / B.Pharm. / B.P.T/ B.A.S.L.P / B. Opt or B.O.T programs. The duration of degree courses like BVSc & AH is five complete academic years that also include compulsory internship of six months. Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 (after a period of 12 years of study), the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) or equivalent qualification as prescribed in the Veterinary Council of India for the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education - Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H) regulations, 1993.
Eligibility
To be eligible for appearing in All India Common Entrance Examination (AICEE) examination, the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates appearing in the 12th class examination under 10+2 system or equivalent examination and awaiting the results, in the year of admission are also eligible to apply.
AIPVT or All India Pre Veterinary Test
Candidates can apply for AIPVT after the declaration of NEET result. AIPVT now replaced by the NEET from 2018. All India Pre Veterinary Test is conducted every year by Veterinary Council of India. The interested candidates can apply by filling the application form which will be available online. The application form filling process will be completed only after the payment of application fee.

The eligibility is basically the same. AICEE is conducted through the veterinary council of india and AIPVT is through the NEET. This happened because AIPVT has been replaced by NEET.
The admission / counselling of All India Quota Veterinary seats will be conducted by AIPVT on the basis of NEET score, You need to apply for it & rest of seats will be filled through the particular state level entrance exam.
