• Freedom - The college gate and hostel gates are never closed (for boys) .
• Friendly professors and staffs. Most of the professors are the Alumni of the institution whose prime aim is the betterment of the college and hospital standards. Hence they make the student's burden lesser.( Not to mention about exams and passing)
• Most friendly and caring seniors. But ragging happens for boys in the hostel.
• New cafeteria has started recently
• the hospital also provides you a large number of cases to look on to and increase your experiences on subject.
• sports and cultural activities. The College has well known teams for basketball, cricket, football, volley ball, badminton, table tennis, throwball etc.. As far as cultural activities a Music Band and a college dance troupe is active .
• CHEM fest & CHEM sports - The grand inter college fest and sports meet conducted by our college which is one of the most famous one in Tamil Nadu.
• College has a students run mess which provides u quality food with a wide variety of food items in hand.
• College council and hostel council- provides you with a chance to learn improve your administration skills and chance to know more about the college. The complete amount spend for CHEMFEST and CHEM sports are collected by the students by finding various sponsors from chennai and around.
• CHARMS - One of the major academic event of the college which is followed by students all around chennai. Provides you with a lot of options related to academics.
• Library : The college has a large library for reading and research purposes. AC reading room and WiFi facilities are also availabe in the library.
• CME : Various department take an interest to conduct CMEs regualrly in which you will be able to grasp about some basic and few advance medical knowledge .

More than all these , this college provides something interesting for all kind of students , the studious type, the enjoying type , the sports type or any.

Cons

• Its little far from chennai (abt 52 km) .
• 50 years old infrastructure
• ragging is prevalent

PROS:

• beautiful campus
• Friendly staff and teachers
• great number of sports and cultural activities
• good peer group
• good library facility
• no ragging on campus (atleast not known)
• good course structure and wide number of case opportunities to look into
• good hostel, mess and canteen facilties

Cons: there arent much cons irrespective of the regular frustrations of any degree pursuer with respect to course difficulties, exam stress etc. however college is quite far from Chennai main city, and there is a lack of freedom for especially female students.
