What are the pros and cons of Madras institute of technology
Madras Institute of Technology is one of the superior colleges in India. It runs under (not affilited) Anna University which has ranked 8 in National level.
Let me put the pros and cons
Pros:
- You would get ultimate freedom for everything. There are no strict rules or any restrictions. You have a very flexible timetable.
- The most interesting part of this college is the senior-junior relationship. Every student has their respective senior and junior based on their register numbers and they share a special bond between them. The seniors would help their juniors at any cost no matter what. This is something special that no college has.

- Lot of high level companies visit for placements and almost 75% get placed in top tier companies.
- Lots of college festivals and symposiums(20+ per year) and lots of organizations to gain knowledge.
- Easy access to any kind of transport.
- Vast sports area.
- Calm and pleasant atmosphere.
- Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam studied here.
Cons:
- The geographical area is small but it is advantageous that you need not walk a long way from one building to another.
- Minor restrictions on dress code.
- If you’re not from Tamil Nadu, for the first few weeks you will feel difficult with language and then later your friends will teach you excellent Tamil.
