Hello aspirant

Legislature of the Union which is called parliament consists of  the President and the two houses known as council of States - Tanya Sabha and Lok Sabha. Each house has to  meet within six months of it's previous sitting.

Qualifications for membership of parliament in India

a person must be citizen of India.

Age must not be less than 30 years in case of Rajya Sabha and not less than 25 years in case of Lok Sabha.

Must be a Voter for any parliamentary constituency of India.

Candidate of a recognized political party needs one prosper from his constituency for his nomination.

An independent candidate need ten prospers.

Candidates are required to make a security deposit of RS 25,000.

The Indian Parliament has 2 houses namely Lok Sabha the Lower house and Rajya Sabha the Upper house.

Rajya Sabha has 250 seats out of which 12 are nominated by the President of India, The rest 238 are filled through Indirect Elections.

Lok Sabha has 552 Seats and are chosen on the basis of Direct Elections. This is where the Citizens can elect their representatives to the Lower House of the Parliament.

There is no special qualification per se except the fact that the Candidate should be a Citizen of India and should not be less than 30 years for Rajya Sabha and not less than 25 years for Lok Sabha.
