A sales manager has many responsibilities including to self, to organizations, towards customers and salesman. Some of them include -
1. TO keep himself in contact with regional changes and developments and have knowledge of latest marketing techniques and products.
2. To keep a constant watch on the activities of the competitors and keep the top management aware of them along with his suggestions.
3. To remain in constant touch with the customers through sales promotion and advertisement and to explain to the customers the advantages that they can have by keeping themselves in touch with the company.
4. To explain the techniques of presenting the products in such a way before the customers which is less time consuming, cheaper and more effective and also to explain the methods of dealing with the customer’s complaints effectively.
