Hello, I hope you are doing well
Direct entries in Indian Navy are known as openings for becoming a commissioned officer in Indian Navy. It is said to be direct because there is no written test to get SSB interview call.
You are called for SSB interview and you are called on the basis of your graduation marks (semester marks in case of final year students). No written test is conducted such as AFCAT, CDSE or NDA.
The Direct entries are controlled by IHQ-MoD(Navy)/DMPR and cater for both Permanent Commission(PC) and Short Service Commission. The SSB qualified candidates have to undergo medical examination and if they are declared fit, they get selected in the Indian Navy on the basis of All India Merit.
