What are the subjects offered at Chirst University in BA. Psychology along with Psychology ?

Christ University is an UGC approved deemed private university. It is accredited Grade 'A' by NAAC. Christ University is one of the top universities in India and an education from this university has a lot of scope both nationally and internationally. Candidates applying must secure at least 55% marks in their class 12th examinations from any of the recognised boards in India.


Bachelor courses offered at Christ University with Psychology as a subject in them are:

1. BA CEP ie. Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media, English and Psychology:

This course is a triple major course. The objective of this course is to instill senstivity obout effective communication through the means of one's knowledge on literature and by applying the concepts of psychology. You will also learn the nuances of media texts and media languages. A student of this course can seek research and study in any of these three subjects, widening his lens and opening newer opportunities.


2. BA PSENG ie. Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Sociology and English:

This is a triple major course. A student of this course will learn the nuances of various domains of psychology like industrial, social, sports etc. and apply them to fundamental human behaviour and processes. The student will also be learning the methodological and theoretical functions of sociology through systematic introductory course. They will learn to voice their opinions and ideas through English Studies in which you will earn the present impression of literature and even the Victorian and British etiquette of the language will be given equal importance to.


3. BA JPENG ie. Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Psychology and English:

The students of this course will have greater options because of the interdisciplinarity of the course. The students is enriched with knowledge about the media, be it print or television through journalism, and this is then added importance to through the nuances learnt about English literature. Along with this the students gets better insight on what he is studying based on his understanding about the human behaviour and mental schemas learnt through psychology.


4. BA PSECO ie. Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Sociology and Economics:

This is a triple major course. A student of this course will learn the nuances of various domains of psychology like industrial, social, sports etc. and apply them to fundamental human behaviour and processes. The student will also be learning the methodological and theoretical functions of sociology through systematic introductory course. The working of the economy is looked with an analytical and intellectual edge and understand its complexities. Multiple courses in economics help you understand its nuances and connect the learning of economics to psychology and sociology.


5. BA PEP ie. Bachelor of Arts in Performance Arts, English and Psychology.

It is a three year triple major course which focuses on the essence of performing arts like dance, music and theatre with applying concepts of psychology in order to understand the minutes of the course . It also has English which helps broaden the knowledge of performing arts by connecting it to the stories of the past as well as present.


Other courses applied in certain performing arts like theatre and western music. These courses are: BA TEP ie. Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies, English and Psychology and BA MPE ie. Bachelor of Arts in Music-Western Classical, Psychology and English . Here, instead of focusing on the influences of psychology and english on performing arts, it is focusing on the influence of psychology and english on certain specific areas like theatre and western music.

Hey

The subjects change every semester, but the genre of subjects stays constant.


There are always a minimum of two core psychology classes, English, a core science subject and an elective.


There are, also, subjects like Holistic Education, but then thats not specific to Psychology Honours.

(the English subject is only there for the first semester.)

Dear Harinne, BA. Psychology at Christs's is a 3 year full time course with 6 semesters. You get to study Psychology,  Sociology and English Literature in BA Psychology. The basic eligibility for this course is that you should have completed 10+2 either in Karnataka PUC/ISC/CBSE/NIOS/State Boards from any recognised Board in India. Students appearing for their 10+2 exams as well can apply.
