What are the subjects or curriculum per semester in master's in mechanical engineering in USA ?
Master of Science students are required to complete a minimum of 32 credit hours applicable to the degree according to the program planning sheet. All 32 credits must be at the 500 level or above. To graduate, a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (B) must be attained in the set of courses used to satisfy the program requirements for the degree.
The MS program has the option of a masters thesis. Students interested in pursuing a masters thesis must identify a research advisor and a suitable thesis project (in consultation with the research advisor) and then defend the thesis before a committee of faculty upon completion of the thesis, prior to completing the program.
Students electing not to pursue a masters thesis will instead take two additional graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. This path is ideal for students wishing to complete the MS degree in 11.5 years and to use their advanced degree as a foundation for a career in industry R&D (research and development), design and analysis, testing, consulting, management or sales.
The non-thesis option can be completed in 1 year if a student takes four courses each semester.
Hope this Information helps.
Best wishes!!!
