Hello aspirant,

The syllabus for JEE Main 2022, will mostly comprise of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, in the 11th grade as well as 12th grade. Most of the questions will only be asked from this level itself, Prepare a good strategy for each subject and you will really score better.

For physics, the topics are,

  1. Physics and Measurement - 4% weightage
  2. Work Energy and Power - 3% weightage
  3. Rotational Motion - 3% weightage
  4. Properties of Solids and Liquids - 5% weightage
  5. Kinetic theory of Gases - 3% weightage
  6. Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating currents - 3% weightage
  7. Experimental skills - 3% weightage
  8. Kinematics - 3% weightage
  9. Laws of motion - 3% weightage
  10. Gravitation - 2% weightage
  11. Thermodynamics - 9% weightage
  12. Oscillations and Waves - 3% weightage
  13. Electrostatics - 9% weightage
  14. Current Electricity - 8% weightage
  15. Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism - 5% weightage
  16. Electromagnetic Waves - 5% weightage
  17. Optics - 10% weightage
  18. Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation - 6% weightage
  19. Atoms and Nuclei - 3% weightage
  20. Electronic devices - 14% weightage
  21. Communication Systems - 5% weightage

For chemistry,

  1. Some basic concepts in chemistry - 5% weightage
  2. States of matter - 3% weightage
  3. Atomic Structure - 3% weightage

  6. Equilibrium - 6% weightage
  7. Redox Reaction and Electrochemistry - 4% weightage

  10. General Principle and process of Isolation of metals - 2% weightage
  11. Classification of Elements and Periodic table - 3% weightage
  12. Hydrogen - 3% weightage

  14. S - Block Elements Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals - 1% weightage
  15. Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure - 5%

  5. Binomial theorem and its simple applications - 2% weightage

  7. Integral Calculus - 9% weightage
  8. Limit, continuity and differentiability - 10% weightage
  9. Co-ordinate geometry - 15% weightage
  10. Three Dimensional Geometry - 6% weightage
  11. Vector Algebra - 5% weightage
  12. Statistics and Probability - 8% weightage
  13. Trigonometry - 4% weightage
